Louisa Elizabeth Mullis (born abt. 1828 and died before 1885)was my 2nd great grandmother. My information is that she was the daughter of William Mullis,(son of James Marshall Mullis and Mary Blackstone) and Nancy Quinn, (Nancy's parents are unknown to me)

I have Louisa first married to William Moses Helms who was a casualty of the Civil War and died at Fort Caswell, NC. They were the parents of 5 children, Nancy Ellen Helms married to David S. Sells, Mary Jane Helms, married to Henry J. Harrington, Sarah Ann Helms, Joseph Hampton Helms, married to Eunice L. Honeycutt, and William Russell Helms, married to Mary W. Myers.

Louisa's second married was to John Jackson Medlin and they were the parents of 3 children. Their first child, Liddia Frances Medlin, my great grandmother, was married to Cader Bennett Baucom.

Louisa's second and third children from this marriage wereaphronia M. (Frony) Medlin, and Columbus Washington Medlin, who was married to Nancy Griffin.

Any information on these Mullis line of my family woud be so very appreciated.

Have you spoken with Anne Medlin Price? I believe she is researching the Medlin line that is intermingled with the Mullises.

She lists:

His Civil War Monument had a DOD of 1915-
Article in the Monroe paper dated Mar 23, 1909
states that he died in Garland County, Arkansas on
March 4, 1909. On my last visit to this cemetery his
