BAXLEY -- Betty Jean Mullis Bridges, 56, died Aug. 2 from injuries in an auto accident in Lakeland.

She was born in Appling County and lived in Valdosta for many years before returning to Appling County three years ago. She was a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Amy Hesters of Lake Park; a brother, Bucky Mullis of South Carolina; her stepmother, Carolyn Mullis of Baxley; a son-in-law, Jim Hamilton of Baxley; and two grandsons, Dalton Hamilton and Adam Hesters.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Swain Funeral Home, Baxley.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, burial in Omega Cemetery.

REMEMBRANCES: Mission Fund of First United Methodist Church, 106 South Main St., Baxley, GA.
