EDEN - Elsie Lee Meadows Mullis, 85, went to her heavenly home Monday, May 14, 2007. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Fair Funeral Home with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mullis was born July 11, 1921, in Henry County, Va., to the late Roy A. and Delphia Lawson Meadows. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. Surviving are daughters, Linda Ramsey and husband, Ronnie and Monica Odell and husband, Gene; son, Gene Mullis, all of Eden; two sisters, Preston James of Stoneville and Odessa Taylor of Eden; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Mullis; sister, Nancy Johnston; brother, Roy A. Meadows, Jr.; and a grandson, Ryan Mark Ferguson. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Monica, at 163 Pineview Drive. |
