Donnie Mullis, 58, Ringgold

Ida Dona “Donnie” Lea Cannon Mullis of Ringgold died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at a local hospital. She was 58. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a former employee of Georgia Farm Bureau and was a member of Boynton Baptist Church.

Her parents, J.B. and Janet Cannon; three sisters, Charlotte Bennett, Katy Owens and Anita Burns; and one brother, David Cannon, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, John G. Mullis Jr. of Ringgold; daughter and son-in-law, Stacye and Edwin Frazier of Ringgold; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Judith Mullis of Acworth; three sisters, Elizabeth Jackson of Rossville, Janice Poteet of Fort Ogle-thorpe, Kay Waldrop of Conyers; two grandchildren, Guy and Gracie Lea Frazier, both of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews.

Services: Monday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Jimmy Hutto and Mi-chael Anthony Jackson officiating. Burial: Dailey Hills Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Monday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
