MULLIS STATESVILLE - Mrs. Hazel Proctor Mullis, 80, of 145 Henderson Drive, Statesville, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at her home.

Born in Yadkin County on April 21, 1927, she was a daughter of the late James Henderson Proctor and Nellie Vestal Proctor. On Dec. 23, 1987, she married Marcus Jackson Mullis who died on March 4, 2005.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, B. Stephen Campbell of York, S.C., and Kevin H. Campbell and his wife, Wendy, of Harmony; a daughter, Mrs. Vickie C. Hass of Statesville; a brother, Zeno Proctor of Statesville; two sisters, DeEtte Johnson of Charleston, S.C., and Jane Smith of Courtney; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services celebrating Hazel' s life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Zion Baptist Church.
