HAMPTONVILLE - Mrs. Margie Lenora Mayberry Mullis, 94, of St. Paul
Church Road, Hamptonville, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Hoots
Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville. Born in Wilkes County on March
29, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary
Elizabeth Roberts Mayberry. She was a homemaker and a member of
Shiloh Baptist Church. She was married for 53 years to the late
Zeddie K. Mullis Sr. Mrs. Mullis is survived by two sons, Z.K.
Mullis Jr. and Charles A. (Ruth) Mullis of Hamptonville; a
daughter, Mary Williams of Salisbury; 15 grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. In
addition to her husband; and parents; she was preceded in death by
a daughter, Peggy Prevette; a sister; and five brothers. A
celebration of life service for Mrs. Mullis will be conducted at 11
a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim
Holbrook and the Rev. Dwight Dowell officiating. Burial will be in
the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. today, May 28, at Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Home. Memorials
may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 5532 St. Paul Church Road,
Hamptonville, NC 27020. Mackie-Sinclair Funeral & Cremation
Service Inc. is serving the family of Mrs. Mullis.
