Mary Eunice Hough Mullis
MIDLAND -- Mary Eunice Hough Mullis, 94, of 10300 Old Camdan Rd, Midland, NC died at 7:05 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Lake Park Nursing & Rehab-Indian Trail, NC. She was born on Sunday, December 1, 1912, in Cabarrus County, NC.

Visitation will be at Hartsell Funeral Home -Midland on Monday, May 28, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Service will be held Tuesday May 29, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Clear Creek Baptist Church - Mint Hill where she was a member. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The Clergy will be Rev. Donald Lisk. Burial will be at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mullis worked for Chadborne Hosiery Mills in Charlotte as a folder, Handkerchief Factory in Charlotte, and then Delmar Studios of Charlotte as a secretary and mailroom sorter.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lake Park Nursing for their love and care.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Kenneth Mullis of Arden, NC and Douglas Mullis of Midland, NC; and her daughter, Vivian Barbee of Midland, NC. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by her husband, Brady Mullis; her father, Theddore Doss Hough; and her mother, Mary Magdaline (McLarty) Hough.

Services performed under the direction of Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland Memorials can be made to Clear Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 9015 Ferguson Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.

I will certainly miss Ma. She was a dear lady. She taught me many things over the past 24 years. I thank God for the time I had to share with her. Thank you to all who have shown the family kindess and support.
