Ola Mullis Williams Mrs. Williams, 79, of Lawyers Glenn Assisted Living Center, Mint Hill, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2008, following a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was born January 31, 1929 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Baxter L. Mullis and Mary Beaver Mullis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Long and brother, Albert Mullis. Mrs. Williams was a very active, life-long member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Max H. Williams; son, Fred E. Williams of Fletcher, NC; siblings, Buford Mullis (Julie), Margie Long, Grady Mullis (Onita), Joyce Gladden (William); in-laws, Myrtle Mullis, Pat Williams, Dot Hartsell, Hubert Williams, Edith Williams, and Edna Williams; and by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Clear Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Don Lisk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Clear Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 9015 Ferguson Rd., Charlotte, NC 28227. Arrangements by McEwen - Mint Hill Chapel.
