Peggy Sue Mullis Manus INDIAN TRAIL -- Mrs. Manus, 51, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 - 9 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held from the graveside at Forest Lawn East Cemetery on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10:00 AM.

Peggy Sue was born on August 13, 1955 in Charlotte, daughter to Ray Mullis and the late Clyde Annie Elliot Mullis. She worked 20 plus years at the Charlotte Observer and last worked 13 years as a Cashier at Providence High School. She loved taking care of her garden and working in the yard. Peggy loved the time she spent with her family on vacations at the beach collecting shells and just being together as a family. She was a mother to not only her daughters but also to neighborhood children and friends.

Peggy adored lighthouses, because they stand as an emblem of hope and guide for those in time of darkness. Peggy was a lighthouse to so many of us, and her light will burn bright forever. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and wonderful friend to all and will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her beloved husband and best friend, Walter 'Monk' Manus of Indian Trail; daughters, Rachel Shea Manus of Waxhaw, and Erika Nicole Manus of Indian Trail; father, Ray Mullis of Mint Hill; siblings, Chi Chi Keziah and husband, Julius, of Harrisburg, Steve Mullis and wife, Elaine, of Huntersville, Randy Mullis and wife, Lynn, of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other family members and friends all over.

Memorials may be made in memory of Peggy to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.

Arrangements for the family are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive. An online guestbook is available at www.heritagefuneral.net. 'At the sunset of life, we care' Section: Death Notice - Classified
