DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Steven L. Mullis, 42, of Dyersville, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, after a sudden illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, at St. Francis Zavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Phil Kruse. Burial will be in the church cemetery. p> Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a scripture service at 5 p.m.

He was born on Oct. 13, 1965, in Monticello, son of Leon and Wilma (Lansing) Mullis. He attended school at Western Dubuque County Community Schools.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Leon and Betty Mullis, of Delaware; two sisters, JoAnn Mullis and Michelle (Jeff) Eilers, both of Dyersville; two brothers, Michael (Nicole) Mullis, of Dyersville, and Kevin (Amy) Mullis, of Flower Mound, Texas; his grandfather, George (Rose) Mullis, of Central City, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma, in 1991; and two brothers, Dennis and Jeffrey Mullis, in infancy; maternal grandparents, Amanda and Lawrence Lansing; and paternal grandmother, Hazel Mullis.
