John Mullis, Stanly County Chamber of Commerce PDF Print E-mail

A Norwood resident, Mr. John Mullis is chair of the Stanly County Camber of Commerce, the president and chief executive officer of BLM Trailer Rentals Inc. in New London, as well as the president/CEO of E-maginations, Inc, a software development firm.

BLM is a regional product and service provider, specializing in the container, portable office/storage and waste services businesses. The company was founded in 1972 and focuses on the commercial, retail, recreation and construction industries. Mullis said he began the second company, E-maginations, to allow him to pursue his special interests in product and market development and software/hardware application development, including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and portable enclosure industry business automation systems.

Previous to joining BLM, Mullis worked as supervisor of International Flight Operations for Piedmont High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business from Pheiffer University.

Mullis desire that his work within the Chamber of Commerce provides and better and more intertwined society. He calls for coalitions between Stanly Countys for-profit and non-profit organizations, coalitions between the faith community and the commercial enterprises, and coalitions between the employers and the workforce, to name just a few.

In addition to his volunteer role with the Chamber, Mullis is a member of the Norwood Lions Club Board of Directors and is a past board chairman of the New London Fire Department. He serves on the Gateway Committee for the Albemarle Downtown Development Corp. and formerly served on the ADDC Bo

He is married to Trula Almond Mullis and the couple has two children, Maria, 10, and Ian, 4. The family attends Memorial Baptist Church in Norwood.
