Clinical Interests:
Orthopaedic trauma and post-traumatic complications with special interest in pelvis and acetabulum fractures, peri-articular fractures of both upper and lower extremity, bone healing, nonunions, malunions, deformity and post-traumatic infections.

Research Interests: 
Timing of IV antibiotics following open fractures, IM nail vs. locked plating for metapahyseal long bone fractures, use of BMP's in closed tibia fractures to accelerate healing, and hip arthroscopy following hip dislocation.

Board Eligible: Passed Step 1 July 2005

MD: University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Residency: University of North Carolina Department of Orthopaedics, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Fellowship: Orthopaedic Trauma, Florida Orthopaedic Institute, Tampa , Florida

Publications:
Dr. Mullis is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous book chapters.

Howard Rosen Award - AO junior faculty award elected by senior faculty for Basic Residents Course, 2007
