Mrs. Norma Lee Ray Mullis

GRAHAM - Mrs. Norma Lee Ray Mullis, 77, of 419 Graham Road, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Born in Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Ralph Graham Mullis and the daughter of the late Clarence Elbert Ray Sr. and Vallie Ammons Ray Bullington. She was retired from Cone Mills Granite Plant in Haw River and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haw River. She was a member of the Haw River Historical Society and the Granite Plant Retirees Breakfast Group.

Survivors include daughters, Bonita Mullis Leasure of Graham, Sharon Mullis Lloyd and husband, Alvin, of Snow Camp and LuAnn Mullis and husband, Mark A. Whitaker of Mebane; grandchildren, Bobbie Bowland Keenan of Gainesville, Ga., Danielle Sutton of Yanceyville and Jennifer Leasure of Graham; great-grandchildren, Emily Keenan of Gainesville, Ga. and Tyler Sutton and Ashlyn Sutton, both of Yanceyville; sisters, Alice Freeland of Carolina Shores, N.C. and Naomi Terry of Graham; a brother, Clarence E. Ray Jr. of Columbus, N.C.; and a brother-in-law and sister-in law, Bruce E. Mullis and Jean N. Mullis of Mebane.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Bowland.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Haw River by the Rev. Walter Jones Jr. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and at other times at the residence.
