Wednesday, July 23, 2008 A "Redneck Yacht Club Weekend" is slated Saturday as Nashville songwriters Thom Shepherd, Woody Mullis and Steve Williams perform at the second annual Summer Songwriter Showcase concert series. The concert will be hosted at OS2, 105 E. Houston St., at 8 p.m. It is sponsored by The Marshall News Messenger, Main Street Marshall and the local chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International. The featured songwriters have produced hits for artists such as George Strait, Montgomery Gentry, Neal McCoy, Sawyer Brown, Gary Allen, Craig Morgan, David Ball and Skip Ewing.
