CONCORD — Janie Bernice Price Dabbs, 85, died Sunday, July
27, 2008, at Levine Dickson Hospice, Huntersville.
Born Feb. 26, 1923, in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Solon E. and Virgie Griffin Price. She had been employed by Servomation as a vending machine operator. She also worked as a hostess at Hardee’s on Church Street after her retirement. She was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. Her husband, David Brown Dabbs, died April 14, 1981. Survivors include daughter Becky Dabbs Phillips of Concord; and sister Isabell Mullis of Concord. A service was held Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. John Setchfield. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials: Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 N.C. 49 S., Concord, NC 28025. Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, is serving the family.
